THE VALDEZ FAMILY | THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS

The Holy Spirit draws us to the best of people.

A few years ago, my mom and I were in The Woodlands visiting family. We were having our girls day (shopping and lunch) and we visited the local Madewell store. Katherine was working the shop, and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. I know for a fact that she made every soul who stepped into that shop feel so loved. The joy of Jesus was so evident in her. Katherine and I started talking, switched instagram handles, and we have been digital pen pals ever since.

Since that day, she is now married with a baby, and another on the way. It was the sweetest blessing being able to see Katherine again, meet her wonderful husband and precious son, and document this season of life for them.

Our family lives in Texas part time, and while we spend most of our time in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, we have relatives in The Woodlands who we are incredibly close with. Needless to say, we spend a lot of time in The Woodlands. It is such a gift to have friends there. While Florida is home base, Texas is just as special, and community is needed in both places, that's for sure!
