THE GREAT LAKES

This was the perfect dose of a quintessential northern summer, from the long days and short nights, to the cool alpine breeze. Every moment was so unique and magical! The landscape, as you can imagine, is very different from Florida. The wildflowers and new bird profiles stood out to me the most. Just a few feet away from our campsite was an alive and vibrant wildflower field, FILLED with a vast variety of birds. On the other side of that, was Lake Erie. After dinner, around 8 or 9, we would take a swim in the lake in full daylight. To wrap up the day, we sat and watched the sun go down around 10. 

If we weren't relaxing by the lake or enjoying the wildlife, we were exploring new islands on the lake. It came to mind how underrated this part of our nation is. Friends, go see the Great Lakes. You will thank me later!
