THE DENHAM FAMILY

These guys are some of the most special people. Pete, Sierra, and the kiddos were visiting from Vista, California for a worship night (SNL) that Pete was leading at our church. We've met during their previous FL trips, and we are friends (best friends, really) on social media. This sweet couple shared so much love and encouragement just over the phone, which truly meant so much. I wanted to do something to thank them for all they do and for serving at SNL. I figured a family session would be a sweet way to help the Denhams relive their Florida memories. We met at the house where they were staying and rode up together, and as we were driving up, the skies opened up and got gnarly! At that point, there was no turning back, we were committed. We made the most of it and enjoyed playing in the rain. Who knew it would be so exciting!? Once we wrapped up the photo session, we headed back to the house. They graciously had me over, we made ice-cream sundaes, mixed up the chocolate topping for buffalo sauce, and sipped on some fall tea after the kids went to bed. Pete, Sierra, and I spent the evening getting to know each other better, having good laughs, sharing our stories and testimonies, and talking about the Lord's faithfulness with every passing season. It was such a sweet time. The world needs more people like Pete and Sierra, people who love big, care genuinely, and best of all, humbly serve the Lord with their whole hearts. I spent my drive back home in prayer and the Lord began to reveal to me His intentionality in the process of us meeting each other. He revealed to me that our sweet relationship was more than a fun night and/or our personalities clicking. It was a gift from heaven, that came at the right time. To God be the glory! They're people I consider family, brothers and sisters in Christ. I'll never forget and always be thankful for simply who they are. 

To the Denhams, I love you guys so much! Miss y'all already and already counting down the days until your next FL vacay! Dinner and sundaes will be on us next time :)
