A good creation --

The family and the love within.

New life and the hope baby Camille is going to bring to the world. 

Wildflowers, a cool wind, and the magic of childhood.

A good God, the creator, giver, and sustainer of all of these things, who is faithful, good, and synonymous with love. 

Isaiah 40:11 has become my favorite verse as of recently. It reads --

He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

I feel honored to know, serve, and love a God with a heart like this. It’s such a comfort to know that he holds his lambs close to the heart, as read by the verse in the NIV version, hugging the lambs as he is carrying them, as read by the MSG translation.

This is His heart towards you. He holds you close to His heart. He hugs you as He is carrying you. 

We are gathered in His arms. 

I pray you treasure that and take delight and comfort in that.

These images remind me of this Sacred reality that is true for you and me. 

The gift of family. The miracle of pregnancy. The wonder of creation. The discipleship of the Kingdom of God. 

Good and perfect gifts not made by Human hands, rather, made by a perfect Lord and Savior.

The Carter’s embody Christ so well, as well has His gentle, shepherd heart. 

I’m delighted to call you friends, Melissa, Nick, Remi, Clive, and Camille. It’s been such a special journey knowing y’all, and documenting new life in your family since Clive was born. Each of you has blessed me so much.
