APPALACHIA | GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK + THE ROLLING HILLS OF KENTUCKY

As a family, we have explored the rockies, but have only seen the mountains in the Appalachian range briefly. Seems ironic, because the Appalachian mountains are only roughly a 10 hour drive away. It was so exciting to have the opportunity of spending a few days in the Appalachian mountains. They are absolutely stunning! We hiked waterfalls, saw deer, got lost, and watched sunsets from the top of the mountain. It was magical. On top of all that, the small town we camped in was filled with the kindest local artisans and new friends around every corner. We found a coffee shop, filled with Baristas who love Jesus, and roast the yummiest beans! There was joy to be found everywhere, and because of that, this trip will have a special place in my heart.
