A SUNRISE FAMILY SHOOT IN WEST VERO | THE DENHAMS

An early morning wakeup call to document a precious season of life for one of my favorite families ~ Sierra is a creative force. She intentionally (though she makes it look effortless) makes everything, including the mundane, beautiful. Given this, whenever she wants to set up a photoshoot, I know it will have an added artistic spark.

I always like to say that creating a beautiful, cohesive, storytelling gallery is a team effort; a group project. Sure, it is my responsibility to familiarize myself with one's story, document it in a way that tells this story authentically, and transform in into art. However, when clients (beloved friends) show up with a genuine desire for simple moments to become artistic expression, it makes all the difference. 

We met on a close friend's property as the sun rose. The field was fresh and dewy, the birds were singing, and the sun painted the brush in the most perfect, rich, golden light. The Denham's began their day exploring, making memories, and of course saying hey to the cows. I sat back and documented these moments.

When Sierra shared her simple, organic vision for a shoot documenting their current season of life, I thought, "Yep, she gets it."
