Taking photos of Sofie, Andrew, and Mabel felt like hopping on the pages of a nostalgic children's book - Winnie the Pooh, Peter Rabbit, or Little Bear maybe? While photographing families, that is a goal of mine. When you immerse yourself in the simple, imaginative world of a child, you are able to document them from a unique point of view, capturing the essence of what that season really felt like.

​Sofie found a wildflower field in San Juan Capistrano, and the backdrop suited their family photos so perfectly. Mabel is filled with wonder and joy. She picked flowers and took it all in, while I took a step back and captured toddlerhood at its finest.
