THE BURANS SHOT FOR SOLAI THE LABEL | A BRAND PHOTOSHOOT OFF THE COAST OF FLORIDA

This was the sweetest day capturing some brand work with @isabellavburan and her babies for @solaithelabel. A quintessential Florida winter day. 

A journal excerpt for advent season:

Emmanuel means, God with us.
God’s dwelling is with humanity. 

Matthew 1:23. “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).”

From the very beginning of Creation, God’s delight was to be with His people. 

Since the first sin in the garden, God embarked on His rescue mission. 

He wanted His people. 

He revealed the law and spoke promises through the prophets, but the law and the prophets did not rescue His people. 

The law and the prophecies needed to be fulfilled. They pointed to one thing: the climax of God’s rescue mission, Jesus, who was God himself clothed in human flesh.

He left His throne full of glory to be born as an infant, lying in a manger in the dirt.

To Mary came the Word. A Savior was born. And the seed for Calvary’s sequoia began to sprout in Bethlehem’s soil. 

The hands that measured the sky and hung the stars became newborn hands. 

This baby grew, and then became the only perfect spotless lamb that could atone not only for one single sin, but for all of the sins of the world. 

He took the cup of the cross, and He died for the sake of us all. For our salvation, to seek and save the lost, to redeem the whole Creation. 

He was buried in the tomb for three days.

And then, 

The stone was rolled away. The temple curtain tore. The lamb conquered death, and because He lives, we live.

Now, we live in a time considered the already but not yet, between advents, between Christ’s first coming as a newborn King and His second to fully make New all of Creation.

Revelation 21:3. “God’s dwelling is with humanity, and he will live with them. They will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and will be their God.”

Revelation 21:4. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.
