THAILAND | CHIANG RAI

Our the last leg of our Asia adventure was 10 days spent in Northern Thailand! It was a completely new change of pace. As our Florida and California Calvary Chapel teams headed back to the states, I headed to Thailand alongside two amazing friends to be a part of village missions and Vacation Bible School. Once we arrived in Chiang Rai, we were reunited with three other Florida friends, and an entire team from Colorado who were grew to love so deeply throughout our time together. 

Dave and Leilani, friends from home who made this trip to Thailand happen, have such huge hearts for that nation. Throughout their marriage, they have visited multiple times, so it was such an honor to meet a place and people who mean so much to them. We got to meet and do ministry alongside their amazing friends, Paul and Lori, who have lived in Thailand for 20+ years, and all of the amazing people that they do life with, like Micaela and Rachel. 

During one of our first days there, we traveled into the highlands to attend church with the Ahka tribe. We worshipped and shared a meal together, and it was one of those days that left me different from how it found me. From there, it was five days of Vacation Bible School, serving children from both local families and international missionary families at Chiang Rai International Christian School. After Vacation Bible School in the mornings, we would spend afternoons chasing waterfalls, jumping off rocks, riding elephants, visiting night markets, or seeing temples. 

After our Thailand adventures, and a 40 hour travel day home, we made it back to Vero feeling relieved, humbled, honored, and incredibly filled. It was an immense privilege to see what the Lord is up to in nations on the other side of the world, and hopefully, play a small role in partnership with Him making the brokenness of earth look a little more like Heaven.
