TAIWAN | TAIPEI CITY, RUIFANG, + JIUFEN

Taiwan was the first of three countries in Asia that I had the joy of visiting this summer. For me, our time in Taiwan was marked by the Lord taking my human weakness and filling it with His grace and abundant strength. We saw this in so many ways, from being strengthened to show up amidst homesickness, to discovering new creative abilities, and everything in between. I know each person on our team experienced the Lord's faithfulness in a unique and individual way. The special way He takes us by the hand and leads us to do things we would not have been able to do in our own strength set the tone for the rest of our time abroad. 

I was in Asia for roughly a month, and whenever there was a moment I came face to face with my lack, I recalled what He empowered our team to do in Taiwan and how He is faithful to carry us yet again. 

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits." - Psalm 103:2

I have realized that these photos only capture the in between moments, moments bookended by rich and full times of ministry, from manual labor (and having fun doing it) to singing "Hosanna" on the street corner. Sometimes, certain moments are just too good to be documented. 

What was documented? Taiwan in all of its glory. The hustle and bustle of the streets during market hours, whimsical moments with waterfalls and lanterns, or hilltop cities that we hiked to. I found that these quiet moments refilled me for each new endeavor. 

Taiwan was such a special place, and I feel incredibly blessed to have experienced it. Yēsū ài nǐ, Taiwan! 耶稣爱你 ​
