SWITZERLAND ON 35MM FILM | HIKING THROUGH THE ALPS AND WANDERING THE CITIES

I don't think I have ever fallen in love with a place like I have Switzerland, specifically, the Alps. I felt the Lord telling me that He wanted to speak to me through beauty, delight, creativity, and childlikeness, and He was so faithful to do that. There's something so special about the mountain air, not to mention the sheep, wildflowers, and streams, that make me feel like a child again, that offer a sense of freedom.

We were in a new town each night. We began with Geneva, then Lausanne, St. Maurice, Zermatt, Interlaken, Lucerne, and ended in Zurich where we caught a train to head to Italy.

Breakfast was cheese and pastries, and days held walking along cobblestone roads or climbing towards the base of the Matterhorn, totally out of air since us Floridians are used to living at sea level (haha).

The towns were spectacular, but hiking will always have my heart. I'd have to say Zermatt and Interlaken were my favorites. I cannot wait to go back, and hike more of the Alps, maybe including Austria and the Dolomites someday.

Europe awakened a new part of my heart and I cannot wait to go back.
