ORANGE GROVE SESSION SPOTLIGHT | THE MCCOLLUM FAMILY

One of the many things I love about photographing the McCollum family is how laid back they are. They don't strive, and they receive every moment with grace. This is amazing during family sessions, because it creates space and margin for me to create freely. 

Though creating the "perfect photo" can be such a joy, family sessions are so much deeper than that. My heart and desire is getting to follow them around the grove, offer simple prompts, and watch them make memories. There is a small element of creative direction, but more than anything, I get to capture the moments as they are, whether they are silly and chaotic, or heartfelt and tender. With the McCollums, you can count on it being a good mix of both, making for an amazing storytelling gallery.
