A STORMY LONG BOARDING MORNING WITH GRACIE FOR YOUSWIM | SURF PHOTOGRAPHY ON THE EAST COAST

Earlier this year, I finally invested in an underwater housing for my camera. I was thinking about it for over two years, and when Gracie and I both were presented with the opportunity to live on Utila for a few months, I knew it was time to make the leap. Utila is nestled right among the Mesoamerican reef system, and I did not want to miss the opportunity to photograph the beautiful life there. 

I was able to photograph dolphins, eagle rays, octopi, and seemingly endless reef fish and it was spectacular. Before Utila, my heart behind purchasing the underwater housing was to be able to have more flexibility with surf photography - feeling more free to create. 

This was my first time hopping in the lineup with the housing and I am so thankful for Gracie for letting me practice with her. She dances on the waves so effortlessly and truly makes surfing captivating.
