I photograph by letting the natural moments unfold, documenting the beauty, the richness, and the depth of your story, on a broad spectrum from intentional couples and families, to creative artisans, brands, and spaces, and everything in between. Through the eye of the lens, I strive to celebrate inspired homemaking, passionate art, and a love for your people. Ultimately, the call of this making is to glorify God and dwell in His faithfulness through the moment that is captured. He wrote this story, and we are here to tell it, share the good news, and embrace His marvelous light everywhere we go. UNITING TRUTH, GOODNESS AND BEAUTYFinally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8 Embarking on beauty takes intentionality. This is the mission. This is the verse behind our creating. In a letter written about joy, it leads the heart and defines how creativity is to be pursued. My prayer is for this brand to be a place and a community where truth, goodness and beauty are united. Growing up, these values were always taught. I not only can apply that lesson to everyday life, but to art as well. My desire is to reflect this and live it out with intentionality, not only for the sake of life here on earth, but for the sake of eternity and the glorification of our Father in Heaven. |
THIS THEOLOGY BEHIND CREATINGFrom the very beginning, there was art. This art was from the very breath of God. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. - Genesis 1:1-3
And so it was. Ever since our beloved Lord painted with divine light, the creative nature of God has lived on, and will continue throughout eternity. From the Mosaic Law to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God was creating. Humankind was created in His image, and we can carry His light and love throughout all our lives. We create in our own, unique ways, and those unique ways correlate and make the body of Christ beautiful. We were made with individualized creative capabilities from writing and poetry, to pottery, painting, and filmmaking. It's up to us. Will we use our gifting to communicate truth, goodness, and beauty to this broken world? |
